Five Binge-Worthy Shows on Netflix

My husband and I got rid of our cable bill two years ago, and use Netflix as our primary source of television entertainment.

Here are my top five picks for binge-worthy shows:

1. F.R.I.E.N.D.S.

There are 10 seasons of “F.R.I.E.N.D.S.” on Netflix. This show is an oldie, but a goodie. It’s light-hearted, and funny. I would recommend watching this, if you need a break from deep, dramatic shows. I know I can always count on it to make me laugh.

In my humble opinion, “F.R.I.E.N.D.S.” takes the cake for sitcoms. I have yet to find one I like better.

2. Grey’s Anatomy

If you love medical shows, dramas, and comedies: this is the show for you! It takes all of the above, and morphs them into one incredible show.

I love so many of the characters on this show, that I can’t even pick a favorite!

There are 13 seasons of “Grey’s” on Netflix right now, so there are plenty of binging hours ahead of you with It!

3. Shameless

This show is raw. It’s real life. Sometimes, it may even be “too” real. But, that’s one of the reasons I love it so much.

The character development and acting are un-matched, if you ask me.

This show hits on everything from drug addiction, to dealing with homosexuality, to teen pregnancies, to mental illness. (And everything in between!) It is not for the faint of heart.

There are currently 7 seasons on Netflix. (Season 8 is currently being filmed)

4. Supernatural

I love this show, and so does my husband. It really has something for everyone.

“Supernatural” follows two brothers around on their journey of fighting the paranormal. It has comedy and drama thrown in, as well. (Plus, the eye candy is pretty awesome!)

This is another show with plenty of episodes. There are currently 12 seasons on Netflix!

5. Pretty Little Liars

I have just recently watched “PLL” on Netflix. It’s quite addicting. There are surprises and twists around every corner!

I also love the character development in this show with the main characters.

If you love a show that can keep you guessing, then this is the one for you . You’ll be shocked through all 7 of the seasons currently on Netflix.

I’d love to hear from you all on what YOUR favorite show is to binge watch! Do you have a recommendation? Leave it in the comments!

Five Hidden Gems Found in F.R.I.E.N.D.S.

If you’re anything like me, you’re completely obsessed with the show, F.R.I.E.N.D.S. I’ve seen every episode at least fifteen times each. (Don’t judge me. 90% of you have, too!)

Now, if you’re a TRUE fan, you’ve probably already caught these five hidden gems throughout the series:

1. Is that a potato?!

If you pay close attention in season 4, episode 8, you’ll see a potato in the cake stand by Joey in Central Perk. I’m assuming it was some sort of inside joke between the cast, but it will forever leave us guessing.

2. That’s not Monica!

In season 8, episode 5, (about 6 and a half minutes in) you’ll notice something different about Monica. That’s because, it’s not actually her! In this scene, Phoebe and Monica are sitting on the orange couch, talking. When it shows the side view of Monica, it’s obvious that we’re seeing an impersonator! (There’s also a scene where you see Rachel’s double in a different episode!)

3. Did I read that right?

In episode 7, season 5, Monica and Chandler are supposed to be getting their engagement photo done for the newspaper, but Chandler can’t seem to take a good one. They fix this problem by having Joey stand in and pretend to be Chandler. At the end of the episode, you see the announcement in the paper. But, if you look closely, you’ll see that the article is just repeating itself!

4. Check the Magna doodle.

In every episode, the magna doodle on Joey’s door changes. Sometimes it makes no sense at all. Other times, there are little messages relevant to the episode. Like, in one episode, Chandler got a manicure with Rachel. Later on in the episode, “Nice nails, Chandler” was written on it. Turns out, one of the crewman was responsible for the clever sketches.

5. A fun fact:

The average episode of “F.R.I.E.N.D.S.” took about five hours to film. I would have loved to be in the audience to see some of the bloopers happen in person! (Like the time Matt LeBlanc wore David Schwimmer’s face on a pair of whitey-tighties!
